ABOUT WOODY'S SUNGLASS SHOP
Woody's Sunglass Shop opened in June of 2014 in the same location we are at today: in the heart of Shelter Cove Towne Centre, in the middle of Hilton Head Island.

First and foremost, family is what defines Woody's.

Woody's is 100% family-owned and operated by two sisters (Anne and Dee) and a husband (Dave). When you shop at Woody's, you are being assisted by family.

Anne, Dave and Dee purchased Woody's from the original owners (Sharon and Woody Ladig, who Dee worked for at the store) in March of 2019.

For Anne and Dave, Hilton Head has been a special place since coming here for their honeymoon in 1980. Like so many of their fellow Ohioans, they retuned to HHI each summer with their family. They were fortunate enough to move here in 2007 and still call Hilton Head home.

And, as you will see, family includes our furry friends, too!

Since purchasing the store, they have had a vision of being the best sunglass shop on the island by providing a wide selection: from fun and funky affordable (like Goodr and Blender) to high-end luxury (Gucci, Saint Laurent, and Bottega Veneto).

If you are looking for fun at home or on the beach, we offer a wide variety of toys by Waboba. For our special fury friends, we have coastal themed dog collars and leashes, along with toys by West Paw.
MEET WOODY!
When Hilton Head's Lawton Stables lost their beloved Clydesdale "Harley," we decided to purchase a new Clydesdale horse for them to fill th void at Lawton Stables. [See the story in the Island Packet here.] We named the horse "Woody" in memory of the shop's original owner, Woody Ladig.

Woody is a young Clydesdale who has become loved by all who meet him. He didn't know what a "treat" was when he first arrived at Lawton, but he sure does now! Whether you are a local or a visitor, he and his friends at Lawton Stables will provide you with loads of enjoyment. Woody is available for carriage rides - if you are interested, reach out to our great friends at Lawton Stables!
